In this exercise you will learn to connect to the Oracle DBMS using JDBC.
To use JDBC you need to

Update your CLASSPATH environment variable in your .cshrc file
(setenv CLASSPATH $CLASSPATH:/pack/oracle/product/8.0.4/jdbc/lib/classes111.zip)

Be sure that you using JDK .1.2 or higher (e.g., /pack/jdk-1.2.2).

To establish a connection to the local Oracle DBMS see
the example (note the parameters to the DriverManager.getConnection
function call).
When you have done this you can try out the JDBC
