Subject Introduction to the course and object-oriented programming in general.
Reading "Thinking in Java" Chapter 1. Low priority is given to pages 61-75 (from the section "Persistence" to the section "Summary"). The chapter provides an overview of object-oriented programming in general and Java in particular. The text is quite abstract but do not worry we will look into the details for the remaining parts of the course.
