A modern interface to a program is graphically. To implement the graphical user interface (GUI) is typically a major part of a programming project. The Java GUI will be covered in two lectures. The focus in on the Java Foundation Classes (JFC) and in particular the Swing parts of the JFC.

Readings

"Thinking in Java" Chapter 13 from page 689 to page 766 (ending at the section "Pop-up Menus").
